Synopsis of talk

Shaun Bailey gave us an inspiring Q&A session attended by c 80 of us yesterday.

The CFCC was delighted to be joined online by the Rt Hon Jeremy Hunt, the Member of Parliament for South West Surrey, whose illustrious career has seen him serve both as the longest running Health Secretary in British history and as a formidable Foreign Secretary.

Mr Kevin Hyland OBE gave a talk to CFCC on modern slavery, chaired by CFCC Deputy Chairman, Chris Buckwell. A brief introduction was given by Cecilia Taylor-Camara to introduce Kevin. Cecilia is a founder member of the Santa Marta Group and directs their work on migration.

Biography

The CFCC heard a fascinating talk about Lord Burghley chaired by CFCC Patron Rt Hon Baroness Chalker of Wallasey FRGS. Fellow Patrons Baroness Hooper, Rt Hon Lord Taylor of Holbeach CBE and Baroness Nicholson of Winterbourne also spoke; Lord Bates asked a question.

Peter Friedmann, Vice President chaired a meeting with the speakers below and Dr Ilma Bogdan gave the vote of thanks.
